SolidSheet® Installation Procedure
  1. Carefully position and mark off where SolidSheets will be applied on the road surface.
    • Make sure markings are accurate and correspond to the road surface's shape/curve.
    • We recommend labeling the individual parts and creating a layout guide to avoid inproper installations.
  2. Surface preparation and primer application on the road surface.
    • Be sure to remove any and all dust, moisture, oil, etc. from the road surface. (Failure to do so may cause the peeling problems.)
    • Apply the special primer on the marked road surface.
  3. Position the sheet.
    • After primer solvent has vaporized, precisely place the sheet(s) in the previously marked areas.
    • Since individual Solidsheet patterns come in separate pieces, please refer to layout guide.
  4. Heating the sheet.
    • Begin heating the sheet with a low flame.
    • Working from the center of the sheet, remove any air from underneath the sheet.
    • Next, turn the gas up and melt the sheet with sufficient heating. (Please move gas burner back and forth to heat the sheet uniformly.)
    • If you spray glass beads on the sheets after heating, nighttime reflection will be enhanced.
  5. Allow sheets to cool.
    • After all of the above steps, please all the sheets to cool completely. (Under high temperature conditions, water can be sprayed to complete the cooling process.)
